Derryinver Luxury Cruise is a registered Irish Sport Grand Prix Show Jumping stallion, sired by Lux Z out of Icing by Cruising. Neither of these extraordinary sires need much introduction to the Show Jumping and Eventing worlds!
Derryinver Luxury Cruise has a pedigree with proven performance throughout the generations.
Lux Z is one of the most successful stallions in international showjumping. With Jerry Smit, Lux Z participated in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and he won the Pulsar Crown competitions in Valkenswaard and Cannes. This brought Lux Z's total winnings to more than a million euro.
Lux Z not only produced foal class champions, mare class champions and FPP showjumping competition winners but also very promising sport horses. Progeny from his first season in Holstein were amongst others, the international showjumpers Gazelle d 'Aubry (Thomas Voss), Lux Can Do It (Tobias Bachl) and Lagunas (Ben Schröder). From his first breeding season in the Netherlands, Lux Z supplied five licensed sons, In addition to jumping ability, Lux Z also anchors his type and movements in his offspring.

Luxy’s dam Icing was a prolific in hand show filly winner as a three year old. She was also the winner of the Four-year old Show Jumping Championship at Cavan, Ireland.
She has gone on to produce many successful Irish Sport horses, as did her own dam Loughend Lady. Derryinver Luxury Cruise was the first of Icing’s long list of successful performance horses produced. As at the end of 2019, Icing was the highest ranked ISH mare in the Hippomundo rankings!
Cruising was a traditional Irish Sport Horse stallion and international Show Jumper. He was a consistent performer at the top level of international competition, winning many Grand Prix classes including World Cup Qualifiers at Millstreet and Geneva, He was also a team horse, winning Nations Cups in Dublin, Rotterdam, Calgary, Aachen and Modena.
Cruising is considered one of the worlds most significant sires of the 21st century. The stallion was for many years the predominant choice for many international breeders.
Cruising has progeny competing in Dressage, Eventing: (51 up to CCI5*), and Showjumping (218 up to 1.60m).
As well as being the sire of Lux Z, Lord Calando is the sire of many international showjumping horses such as; Locanda (Marcus Ehning) and Lukas (Emma Wester). His dam Perra was bred at Zangersheide Stud Farm out of the Holstein mare Apocalypte Z (Ahorn Z). This famous Holstein family was also responsible for the licensed stallions Lavallo, Lasino and Lone Star.
After standing at the famous private stud farm of Maas J. Hell, Lord Calando made his move to the French National Stud.
Cruising’s dam, Mullacrew (ISH), was an international showjumper by the sire Nordlys (TB). Her wins included competitions at Lucerne, Rome and Wembley. Mullacrew’s sire, Nordlys, was a very famous sire that sired a prolific number of exceptional jumpers including Quept (German Team member for many seasons) and Olympic Gold Medallist Ambassador.
Mullacrew's dam was Big Idea, who was a full sister to the well known Irish stallion Ideal Waters. Big Idea by Water Serpent, was sire of a long line of famous International Show Jumpers including such horses as Kilkenny, Rockette, The Quiet Man and The Rock.
Sea Crest was a very successful Grade A Showjumper in the 1980's winning numerous National Grand Prix's, and was unbeatable on the indoor circuit. He sired many International Showjumpers and Eventers in addition to Cruising including Cash Flow CSIO4*, Nires Crest, Hoochi Koochi CCI4* & Olympics 1996, Ladaka CCI4* & Olympics 1998, Cruise Forever, Cloud Burst, The Irish One, Menuhin, Sir Rivie (RID), Mexican Wave, Rhyds Sea Quest (RID), and many more.
Sea Crest had 25 progeny that were Eventing and Show Jumping at International level. Sea Crest had 54 winners of 65 classes and many placings at the RDS horse show, (in Show Jumping, Performance, and Showing classes).
Legaun Prince was a Registered Irish Draught stallion. He was the sire of Loughend Lady who was the dam of Icing. Legaun Prince had progeny that competed in Eventing (CCI3*) and Show Jumping.
Lord was a successful Three-day Eventing stallion. His offspring were all credited with receiving enormous scope over fences, including Luguna (K. Huck), Lafeyette (H. Schmidt), Actrice (C. O. Nagel), Lusius (E. Gundel) and Pedro who competed at the World Championships in Dublin with Thomas Frühmann, Loyal 9 (P. Nagel-Tornau) and many more. Successful sire sons include Lantaan in Holstein, and the sadly short-lived, Lord Liberty in Oldenburg.
In all, Lord sired more than 60 stallion sons, and his progeny won more than €3,000.000.

Ahorn Z was sired by the Zangersheide Stud's foundation stallion Alme Z out of their foundation mare Heureka Z. He was registered in the majority of German stud books and was also a registered Selle Francaise.
Ahorn Z became an international jumping legend with the Dutch team competing in many World Cups and Grand Prix . He was approved by most German breeding registries and sired among others the famous Acord brothers, Acord I, Acord II and Acord III.
Ahorn Z progeny competed in Dressage (DI2*), Eventing (CCI4*), and over 150 competed in Show Jumping up to 1.60m.
Nonstop III, out of Icing by Cruising, is by Clover Echo (ISH). She has competed in Show Jumping up to 1.50m.
Condor Z, out of Icing by Cruising, is by Cobra (Holstein) who has competed in Show Jumping up to 1.35m.
True Grit, out of Icing by Cruising, is by Sir Shutterfly (Hanoverian) who has competed in Show Jumping up to 1.50m.
Derryinver Truffle, out of Icing by Cruising, is by Tornesch (KWPN). He has competed in Show Jumping up to 1.50m.
Dunaghmore, out of Icing by Cruising, is by Ustinov (KWPN). He has competed in Show Jumping up to 1.40m.
